ANDREW TIBBS
Andrew’s first foray into the media world took place at Stirling University’s Radio Airthrey where, he worked on the station’s news output as a journalist and a producer. He also produced a weekly current affairs and discussion programme, interviewing many of the universities staff and students, including Stirling Chancellor, Dame Diana Rigg. Post Stirling, Andrew chose to pursue a post graduate degree in archaeology, before returning to Edinburgh for a brief stint working in academia.
Deciding that academia was not for him, Andrew moved into communications, working initially as a Communications Officer for an archaeological charity and then a Communications Manager with a Higher Education Institute.
Andrew is a keen writer, regularly penning book and theatre reviews, as well as articles for various websites. Andrew has also written several short film scripts which have been optioned by an independent producer and is working on a Scottish based feature.
More recently, Andrew has been developing his interest in documentaries. He directed 3AKTs debut production, "Adopting Monuments", the idea for which stemmed from his experience working in the heritage sector.
Andrew is currently working on a number of projects for 3AKT, including producing the short film "A Change is Gonna Come" and developing "Adopting Monuments" into a 60 minute film.
